Scott Robbins has practiced law in Poplar Bluff since 1996, offering practical, honest guidance to individuals, businesses, and rural communities across Southeast Missouri. With a steady and thoughtful approach, Scott carefully examines every side of a legal issue, helping clients make informed decisions that protect their interests. He has successfully tried numerous civil and administrative bench trials, jury trials, and argued multiple appeals, building a strong reputation for sound judgment and effective advocacy.

Scott focuses his practice on rural utilities, real estate, business and commercial law, workers’ compensation, and probate and estate planning. He is particularly recognized for his work with rural water and sewer districts throughout Missouri—helping to form new districts, draft beneficial legislation, and represent municipalities in complex matters. His efforts have earned him honors including the CALI Award for Excellence in Local Government and recognition as one of Missouri Lawyers Weekly’s “Up & Coming Lawyers”. He has presented at legal seminars for the Missouri Rural Water Association and helped found the Missouri Association of Sewer Districts through donated legal work.

Scott is a Life Fellow of The Missouri Bar Foundation, has served on the Missouri Bar Client Security Fund (including three years as Chair), and was elected to the Missouri Bar Board of Governors in 2017, where he continues to serve. Active in the Poplar Bluff community, Scott is a deacon and building committee chair at Westwood Baptist Church. He and his wife Devona have two children. Chris is an experienced trial attorney with a practice focused on serious injury and wrongful death cases, including medical negligence, product liability, automobile and trucking accidents, and insurance disputes. Known for his strategic litigation skills and tenacious advocacy, Chris has secured million and multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts for clients who have suffered due to the wrongful actions of others.

He has tried numerous civil jury trials and has represented clients across Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Florida. His work has earned him recognition from peers and professional organizations, including being named a Top 100 Trial Lawyer by the National Trial Lawyers Association in 2014. Chris is an active member of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys (MATA) and the American Association for Justice, reflecting his commitment to upholding the rights of injured individuals.
Chris also contributes to his profession and community through leadership roles, serving as a Councilman for the Missouri Bar’s Young Lawyers Section, and as a member of the Missouri Bar, Butler County Bar, Lions Club, and the Boys and Girls Club of Poplar Bluff, where he serves on the council.

Luke M. Henson was born and raised in Poplar Bluff. After graduating Poplar Bluff High School, he went on to graduate from Missouri State University and later earned his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Mississippi College School of Law in 2015, graduating cum laude and ranking in the top 20% of his class.

While in law school, Luke earned several awards and recognitions including; the Frank Deramus Award which is awarded to a second year law student who is committed through service to the development of the law school and who has demonstrated potential for service through the practice of law and to the community; induction into the Phi Alpha Delta Society of Scholars; Amjur Awards in Pre-trial Practice; White Collar Crime and Business Fraud; Expert Witness Seminar; Compliance in Financial Institutions, and Secured Transactions and Creditors’ Rights. In 2014, he was named the Mission First Legal Aid Clinic top volunteer.

While earning his J.D., Luke clerked at the Mississippi Contract Review Board, where he developed experience in the review of personal service contracts and state compliance. Luke also clerked at the Philip W. Thomas Law Firm in Jackson, Mississippi where he assisted in representing plaintiffs in both federal and state courts. Knowing that he would like to practice in Missouri, Luke was admitted to limited practice in Missouri during his last semester in law school under the supervision of Steven Lynxwiler allowing him to complete a hands-on externship with the Office of the Missouri Public Defender in Poplar Bluff.

Anna E. Iman was born and raised in Southeast Missouri. After graduating magna cum laude from Southeast Missouri State University, she earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Saint Louis University School of Law in 2024 as a member of the Dean’s Scholar Program.

While earning her J.D., Anna earned the Academic Excellence Award for Small Claims and Class Actions. Anna practiced as a Rule 13 Certified Student Attorney in the Children’s Permanency Clinic at Saint Louis University where she developed experience in many areas including domestic law, juvenile law, and property law. In her last year of law school, Anna completed a hands-on internship at Legal Services of Eastern Missouri within a general practice unit. Anna developed her skills across all areas of law to provide low-income residents of St. Louis City with competent and compassionate legal services.

Anna joined Kennedy, Robbins, Yarbro & Henson, LC, as an associate in 2024.

Douglas R. Kennedy graduated from the Memphis State University, School of Law in 1984, ranking 16th in his class. He began his practice in Poplar Bluff in 1984, and has tried a multitude of cases, both jury and non jury. His trial experience has involved numerous areas of the law.

He has practiced in state and federal courts, as well as handling administrative hearings and he has extensive appellate experience. Doug is licensed and admitted to practice in all Missouri and Arkansas Courts, the Eastern and Western U.S. District Courts of Missouri and U.S. Supreme Court. He is a Past Member of the State of Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education; Past Chair of the State of Missouri Coordinating Board for Higher Education; Past Assistant Scoutmaster and Sioux District Chair, Boy Scouts of America, and also a Past Board member of the Missouri Higher Education Loan Authority.

Mark A. Kennedy, now retired, is the founding member of the firm. Mark graduated from the University of Missouri – Columbia, School of Law in 1978. He began his practice in Poplar Bluff in 1979, and has tried multiple criminal and civil jury trials.

Prior to his retirement, personal injury, wrongful death, products liability and criminal defense trial work law were his primary areas of concentration.
