Trial Lawyers Packaging Hope at the Southeast Missouri Food Bank

This week, our firm had the privilege of partnering with Missouri Trial Lawyers Care to make a meaningful difference in our community. On Wednesday, November 12, Luke Henson joined fellow MATA volunteers at the Southeast Missouri Food Bank to assemble over 400 food packages for families facing food insecurity. The group also made a Nine Thousand Dollar donation to the food bank.

The Southeast Missouri Food Bank serves as a vital lifeline for countless families throughout our region. Each package assembled represents more than just meals. The packages represent hope, dignity, and the knowledge that our community stands together during challenging times.

Missouri Trial Lawyers Care embodies the legal profession’s commitment to community service, organizing volunteer opportunities that allow attorneys to give back beyond the courtroom. Wednesday’s effort demonstrates how collective action creates tangible impact. Those 400+ packages will reach kitchen tables across Southeast Missouri, providing nourishment and relief to families who need it most.

The trial lawyers at Kennedy, Robbins, Yarbro & Henson, LC, believe that being part of the community means actively serving it. While we’re dedicated to fighting for our clients’ rights in legal matters, we’re equally committed to supporting the broader needs of Southeast Missouri residents. Whether through volunteer efforts, partnerships with local organizations, or simply being present when our neighbors need help, community service remains central to who we are.

We’re grateful to Missouri Trial Lawyers Care for organizing this opportunity and to the Southeast Missouri Food Bank staff for their tireless work feeding our community year-round. Events like these remind us why we do what we do—to serve people, strengthen our community, and create positive change.

Both organizations welcome volunteers and donations. Together, we can continue making Southeast Missouri a place where everyone has access to basic necessities and the support they deserve.
