Fourth of July Safety Tips
The Fourth of July is a holiday often celebrated with outdoor activities, including cookouts, boating, swimming and fireworks. These fun activities, however, can often turn into accidents with tragic results, if safety is not kept as a high priority. Fireworks can be especially dangerous when handled by non-professionals. Even when properly handled, fireworks can cause severe burn injuries. Even something as innocent as a sparkler burns at 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. Sparklers are responsible for more than a quarter of all firework-related injuries.
The National Council on Fireworks Safety has published some fireworks safety tips. We hope you will take a moment to review them prior to celebrating this week.
The attorneys and staff of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC provide these Fourth of July safety tips in hope that everyone has a happy and safe holiday. If, however, you or someone you love has been injured by fireworks due to another person’s negligence, or have been injured at a holiday celebration, contact our personal injury attorneys.
