Happy Mother’s Day

Happy Mother's Day from Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LCOn May 9, 1914, President Woodrow Wilson invited the “people of the United States to display the [fusion_builder_container hundred_percent=”yes” overflow=”visible”][fusion_builder_row][fusion_builder_column type=”1_1″ background_position=”left top” background_color=”” border_size=”” border_color=”” border_style=”solid” spacing=”yes” background_image=”” background_repeat=”no-repeat” padding=”” margin_top=”0px” margin_bottom=”0px” class=”” id=”” animation_type=”” animation_speed=”0.3″ animation_direction=”left” hide_on_mobile=”no” center_content=”no” min_height=”none”][U.S.] flag at their homes or other suitable places on the second Sunday in May as a public expression of love and reverence for the mothers of our country.” This year marks the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day as a national holiday.

The idea of a Mother’s Day started with women’s groups around the time of the Civil War. Ann Jarvis is widely recognized as one of the leaders of the Mother’s Day movement, founding a committee to create a “Mother’s Friendship Day,” which sought to reunite families divided by the war and bring them back home to their mothers.

We want to suggest to dads in divorced families that you make sure that the mother of your children is recognized. Don’t adopt a position that leaves it solely to the kids to take care of recognizing their mother. Help them with an appropriate Mother’s Day gift, whether it is flowers, a handmade card, a dinner, or a gift certificate.

This weekend, the attorneys and staff of Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, want to slow down, pause and give thanks to the incredible mothers of our staff and on our staff. We are truly grateful for all that you have done and continue to do in our lives.

Happy Mother’s Day![/fusion_builder_column][/fusion_builder_row][/fusion_builder_container]
