Westwood Baptist Academy (WBA) held its 2nd Annual Westwood Eagles Golf & Victory Walk, Monday, April 27, 2015 at the Ozark Ridge Golf Course in Poplar Bluff, MO. All proceeds of the golf tournament and walk benefit WBA students by helping to provide new academic programs, upgraded technology, facility improvements, student benevolences, and faculty development. WBA’s mission is to give Christian training along with a solid academic foundation in the basic fundamentals of learning for the average and above-average child. Academic and spiritual standards are high with added emphasis on character training. WBA is an accredited member of the American Association of Christian Schools and the North American Christian School Accrediting Agency. WBA is also a member of the Missouri Association of Christian Schools and is a ministry of Westwood Baptist Church. WBA participates in the Mid-America Association of Christian Schools’ regional events and the Missouri Christian School Athletic Association sporting events. Preschool (K3) through 12th grade classes are taught in a traditional classroom setting primarily using the A Beka curriculum.

Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, was pleased to be one of the corporate sponsors for the event. In addition, our partner, Scott Robbins, participated in the event, in which golfers played as many holes as possible from 7:30 a.m until 5:00 p.m. Scott’s schedule allowed him to play 58 holes Monday. He putted well enough to qualify for the $2,500 putting challenge at the end of the day, but did not win.
