Robbins assists Mo-Ark Water Company with Water Line Repairs and Extension Project

Kennedy, Kennedy, Robbins & Yarbro, LC, is pleased to be working with the Mo-Ark Water Company in Stone County, Missouri, as the Company begins work on water line repairs and to upgrade 6,000 feet of water line to 8 inch mains, construct a new standpipe and well house, and install a new well pump and motor. Scott Robbins collaborated with the Company and its engineering firm, Schultz Surveying & Engineering, to secure a $1,350,800.00 loan from USDA-Rural Development to fund the project.

According to a recent report from the Environmental Protection Agency, “The nation’s drinking water utilities need $384.2 billion in infrastructure investments over the next 20 years for thousands of miles of pipe as well as thousands of treatment plants, storage tanks, and other key assets to ensure the public health, security, and economic well-being of our cities, towns, and communities.” The same report shows that the drinking water systems in the State of Missouri need a little over $8.4 billion over the next 20 years to make key water line repairs.
