I’m attending the Missouri Bar’s 2015 Solo and Small Firm Conference to learn how to better represent clients at trial. Dr. David Ball, one of the country’s top trial consultants, is providing some great information this morning about how lawyers can best represent their clients and protect the public at large.

Justice Learned Hand said, “Lawyers should have but one commandment. Thou shall not ration justice.” Lawyers have the opportunity and obligation to protect and serve their clients and the public at large.

The American legal system gives people, who may not otherwise have a voice, the power to hold others accountable for their improper and illegal actions. Despite all the lawyer jokes, the fact of the matter is that having lawyer on your side is a very good thing.
